Please note that the National Council does not include insurance when calculating the fee due when submitting the charter to the Service Center.
Units MUST add $1 / youth or adult being registered, except multiples.

Again this year the Pioneer Valley Council will use Internet Rechartering, a service provided by the National Council.   Not every unit has to participate, but all units are encouraged to participate in this ground breaking way of rechartering.  Internet Rechartering improves accuracy of registration information while simplifying the process for both the Council and the Unit.

For those of you who already use  Troopmaster, Packmaster, or competetive software you will find that this will further streamline the way you submit your data.  Instead of submitting a diskette or CD,  you will upload your information directly to the National computer system (Scoutnet).  You just have to make sure you have done any necessary updating prior to the upload.

If you don’t use Troopmaster or Packmaster, you can still take advantage of the technology.  Your unit's records on Scoutnet will be available for updating on a secure web site.

Still needed are signatures and payment by check.  Rechartering is completed by printing the charter, having it signed, and submitting
it with a remittance check either at a district-scheduled time and place, or to the Service Center.

For security, each individual unit will be assigned a unique login code and password. .

Your commissioner and professional staff members will  train you and be available to assist you as needed.  Since this is the first time we have tried this there are bound to be some things that may not go exactly as planned, but please bear with us.  In the end, this will be a positive experience for all of us.  As always, we expect and need your feedback on the process so that we can improve it for next year.
