H. A. Moses Scout Reservation

Pioneer Valley Council,B.S.A.

Welcome to the Horace a Moses Scout Reservation Explore the links below that lead to details about our camping season at Horace A. Moses Scout Reservation, Russell, Massachusetts in the Pioneer Valley Council.   The Leader's Guide is a complete reference for our Troop leaders.  Many of the links are taken from the guide and provided as a quick reference.   Printer friendly forms are also provided for units to download extra copies to meet their needs.

Please review the Guide; it is intended to answer all of your questions.  Forms are provided as Adobe PDF files for easy downloading and printing.

We accept reservations from you as units.  Troops will collect fees from youth and submit one unit check for the appropriate amount.  Deadlines are detailed in the Leaders Guide sent to each Scoutmaster.  The Early Bird date is still May 15 if you are looking for discounts.

Scouts who would like to attend summer camp with us but belong to units not going to our camp may come as Provisional Scouts.  Provisional Scouts attend camp with another Troop and register following the directions on the Provisional Scout form.

PROVISIONAL CAMP
Family vacations sometimes conflict with your unit’s camping schedule.  But that doesn’t mean your Scout has to miss the fun of summer camp this year.  Scouts can enjoy a week at camp or an extra week of camp with another Troop.  Also, boys who decide during the camp season to return for an additional week of camp may do so without incurring the $25 penalty.  Returning as a provisional Scout is a great way to enjoy a week at camp, meet new Scouts and still feel part of a group.
